1、一般现在时的用法：

(1)表示经常性、习惯性、反复性发生的动作或现在存在的状态。

(2)表示客观事实、真理、格言、俗语及自然现象。

(3)表示/描述主语目前的特征、状态、性格和能力。

(4)在时间、条件、让步状语从句中用一般现在时表示将来的动作。一般现在时常与often经常，always，总是，一直usually通常，every day每天，every week每周，every morning每天早晨，every evening每天晚上，every month每个月，every year每年，never从不，sometimes有时，on Sundays星期天等连用。例如：

I always go to school on foot.

我总是步行去上学。(表示经常性反复性的动作)

表示经常性反复性的时间

He goes to bed at eleven o’clock every evening.

他每天晚上十一点睡觉。(表示经常性反复性的动作）

The earth moves round the sun.

=The earth goes round the sun.

地球绕着太阳转。(客观真理)

If it is fine tomorrow， we’ll go to the zoo.

如果明天天气好，我们就去动物园。(if引导的条件状语从句)

I’ll tell him the news when he comes back.

当他回来时，我将把这个消息告诉他。(when引导的时间状语从句)

The sports meet will take place unless it rains tomorrow.

除非明天下雨，否则运动会将举行。(unless引导让步状语从句，译为除非，如果不…)

2、一般现在时的构成：

be动词的肯定结构：

主语+am/is/are+其他 例如

He is a teacher.他是一位老师。

be动词的否定结构：

主语+am/is/are+not+其他 例如：

I am not a student.我不是学生。

be动词的一般疑问句结构：

Am/Is/Are+主语+其他

肯定回答:Yes， 主语+am/is/are.

否定回答:No， 主语+am/is/are+not. 例如：

-Is he a doctor.他是医生吗

-Yes， he is.是的，他是。

-No， he isn’t.不，他不是。
