as 引导限制性定语从句，主要用于the same…as（与……相同），such…as（像……一样），as…as（与……一样）。

① such ... as ...：主句含有表示程度的先行限定词such，从句用 as 引导。

如：

I never heard such stories as he tells. 我从未听过他讲的这类故事。

We had such grapes as you never saw. 我们有你从未见过的那种葡萄。

②the same ... as ...：相同比较概念。正是主句有了the same，从句 as 才与之构成了比较意义

如：

I’m the same weight as I was twenty years ago. 我现在的体重和20年前一样。

It’s the same story as I heard from her yesterday. 这故事跟我昨天从她那儿听到的一样。

We arrived at the same time as you did. 我们与你同时到达。

He is the same age as you are. 他和你同龄

as， such， so， 都表示“一样的那样的”，as 才与之构成了比较意义：“像......那样的”。

如果我有一本书，那么同类别的书就叫做the same as，这本书本身就the same that

1.the same as是同样的。譬如，同班学生使用的教材是同样的，可以说：Student A has the same book as Student B (has).(as是关系代词，替代先行词the same book ，又作省去的has的宾语)

2.the same that是同一个。譬如，我今天使用的和昨天使用的是同一本教材，可以说：Today I use the same book that is used yesterday.(that是关系代词，替代先行词the same book ，作主语)

二、such…as的意思是“像……这种的”，“像……那样的”，其中的 as 用作关系代词，引导定语从句，as 在定语从句中用作主语或宾语。此外，不要按汉语意思把该结构中的 as 换成like。

如：

He is not such a fool as he looks. 他并不像他看起来那么傻。

Such men as he (is) are rare now. 现在像他这样的人很少了
